Good morning
This is the 4th Parts Express group buy that is being organised - https://www.parts-express.com/
How it works:
Visit Parts Express website and make a note of the items you want:
Then, send an email to [email protected], headed "Parts Express order"
And include:
Your name
Your mobile number
If you live outside Cape Town, the branch of Postnet you would like the parcel sent to. There is a minimum cost of R110,00 for Postnet. Or, you can send a courier
A detailed list of the components you want, in the format above
During the last week of March (30th), an order will be submitted to Parts Express. They will send us a Pro-Forma invoice which will include air shipping
We will then prepare a spreadsheet showing: Your name. Part description and number. Price in US$. Shipping in US$. Rand value. An additional amount for clearing fees, any duty and VAT. Total
You will be asked to pay this Total and bank account details will be supplied. I have a Customs Import Code which eases the transmission through the clearance procedure
In the past, it was ascertained that Parts Express get out of stock of certain items. To save on additional shipping fees, they usually like to delay shipping until stock is replenished. This may be several weeks. You will be advised should this occur
Any questions? Ask away
A tip or two:
1 - Speaker components and crossovers are sometimes rated at 4 or 8 ohms. Check you choose the correct value
2 - Heavy items increase the shipping cost considerably.
3 - Items with power supplies use 110 volt mains
Example: This item alone will add $70 to shipping, which renders it uneconomic
