What's on the Turntable

Post punk funk in scout uniforms (blame Tony Wilson but the tunes were great) third album classic (if you count the tape, which you should). A Certain Ratio - Sextet

I won't go back to Frownland. Probably the only album that should come with a warning that even if you like music, you may at first hate this. Needs a few listens and is awesome:

Two great major label albums (I liked 'Pure', many did not), but I still go back to this EP compilation as it really is fantastic, not a duff track from any of the four or three track EPs at the time. Well, at the time I was too young and really stupid so I sold them:

Today is the first anniversary of the passing of David Lindley, one of the most accomplished exponents of stringed instruments in the annals of rock music and one it's greatest sidemen.
This album is the entire WBCN-FM radio broadcast of the Jackson Browne and David Lindley's concert at The Main Point in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on 15th August 1973.
